Government is

The government is the "system, authority, or group of people" governing an "organized community" (usually a state or a country) through rules and regulations. A government is the system of governing of a “country, state, or other political body”. Government is where politics are most frequently contested.

Election

Presidential Election

The people do not directly elect the USA “president and vice president.” Rather, the Electoral College process is used to select them. There is no physical location for the Electoral College. To win the “presidential election,” a candidate must receive the support of “at least 270 Electors,” or “more than half of the total electorate” of the Electoral College.

Sanction is economical or commercial restriction (commonly non-military in nature) that one nation imposes on another (a nation, business, or individual). The restriction is frequently done in reaction to alleged violations of international law, abuses of human rights, worries about security, or other matters of major regional or worldwide concern.
