Streaming service
These services give consumers easy access to entertainment whenever and wherever they choose, by offering a vast variety of content across numerous “genres and interests.”
“Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, YouTube,” and Apple TV+ are a few of the well-known streaming services.
NASA’s free, ad-free streaming service, “NASA+,” offers unique video series, kids’ content, Spanish-language content, and live launch coverage. No subscription is necessary.
The streaming service “Kanopy” offers access to a vast array of digital content with 30,000+ titles, including critically acclaimed documentaries, “modern and historic global cinema,” independent films that have won awards, instructional videos for kids and adults, and much more. You can watch “Kanopy” for free without any advertisements because your “library card” pays for all related expenses.
Everywhere there is a screen — on your computer, phone, TV, or even in your car — you can take out and consume “audiobooks, eBooks, comic books, movies, magazines, TV shows, or music” from “Hoopla.” Similar to “Kanopy”, a library card makes “Hoopla” free.
Netflix
With a Netflix subscription, users can view “TV series, films, documentaries,” and more on any internet-connected device, including award-winning “Netflix original” content.
The “number of devices for simultaneously viewing” and video-quality of Netflix content, vary depending on your subscription-plan.
Any device with internet access that supports the Netflix app, such as “smart TVs, streaming media players, gaming consoles, smartphones, set-top boxes, and tablets,” can be used to view Netflix. Using an internet browser, you may stream Netflix directly on your device as well without “Netflix app.”
Prime Video
Amazon offers a streaming service called “Prime Video” with video content. Benefits of Prime Video are part of having an “Amazon Prime” subscription; if “Amazon Prime” isn’t offered in your nation or area, you can still watch.
Extra 100+ channels, in addition to MGM+ & AMC+ Ad-Free, are available to “Amazon Prime” members.
Limited commercials are included in “Prime Video” films and TV series. Via the Prime Video website, you can sign up for “Prime Video Ad Free.” Where available, “Amazon Freevee” will still have advertisements.
Thousands of well-known films and TV series, as well as unique “Amazon Originals,” are available to members of “Amazon Prime.” For watching on a laptop/computer via internet browser, visit official website “primevideo.com”.
A variety of “televisions, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, mobile devices, and streaming media gadgets,” all support the Prime Video app.
Disney+
The streaming service Disney+ is home to films and television series from popular brands including “Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic” in addition to The Simpsons and many more. Disney+ is the only platform where The Walt Disney Studios’ “most recent releases” may be streamed. With a “Disney+ Basic” or “Disney+ Premium” subscription, enjoy limitless entertainment. Disney+ does not broadcast live “Disney Channels,” although it does offer selected content of these channels in the Disney+ library.
Disney+ is available for streaming on a variety of gadgets, including “smart TVs, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, tablets, mobile phones, and streaming sticks.”
Disney+ can ‘be accessed separately’ or can be bundled with other services. Depending on your plan, the “Disney Bundle” membership can contain only “Disney+ and Hulu” or all three of the streaming services (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+).
To learn more, go to “disneyplus.com” or use the Disney+ app on the majority of connected TVs and mobile devices.
MGM+
A prestigious linear channel and streaming service, “MGM+” is an Amazon company that offers a wide range of high-caliber “original programs and documentaries,” the newest films, and iconic film titles.
Without purchasing through a TV or digital provider, you may make payments on a monthly basis. Pay via the Roku, Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon AppStore, or “mgmplus.com”.
You may download the “MGM+ app” to your iPhone, Apple TV, iPad, Android phone, smart TV, tablet, Roku, and Fire TV. Only the U.S. and its territories can access “MGM+.”
“MGM+” will continue to be accessible across the country via digital distribution platforms, cable, telecom, and satellite.
Hulu
With a large selection of subscription options, Hulu is the most popular and all-inclusive premium streaming service that provides a vast selection of “live and on-demand entertainment” for both inside and outside of the house.
Unlimited access to thousands of “episodes and films,” including critically acclaimed Originals, is provided by subscriptions. Only the U.S. and its territories can access “Hulu.” Subscription also available on Hulu is a Max, Cinemax, “Paramount+ with SHOWTIME” and/or STARZ.
Web browsers, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, streaming sticks, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and set-top boxes can all stream content from “Hulu.” You can register using the “Hulu app” on the gadget of your choice or through a web browser on “hulu.com”.
Selected Hulu content is available to stream on Disney+ for “Hulu” users who also have a Disney+ subscription or a “Disney Bundle” subscription.
ESPN+
You can watch on-demand content, exclusive programs that aren’t accessible via ESPN’s traditional TV platforms, and thousands of live episodes — including UFC PPV events — with “ESPN+” streaming service. Take in a wide range of live performances from multiple major sports leagues, such as UFC, NHL, NFL, FA Cup, MLB, Grand Slam tennis, PGA TOUR LIVE, Top Rank Boxing, PLL, NLL, LaLiga, and many more.
Via “plus.espn.com” and the “ESPN app,” subscribers can access the paid ESPN+ service. With ESPN+, you can pause ESPN+ on-demand stuff and “can begin watching live ESPN+ events from the beginning.”
Only the U.S. and its territories can access “ESPN+.” Using the same login details you used to register for the “Disney Bundle,” you may log into ESPN+.
For most ESPN+ material, you can currently (May, 2024) stream simultaneously on up to five devices, and “for a UFC PPV program,” you can stream simultaneously on two devices.
Max
HBO Max has changed to “Max.” Max consists of:
- Your favorite TV networks’ top real-life shows, including “HGTV, the Food Network, Magnolia, TLC, Discovery, ID,” and more.
- TV shows and films from “HBO, Warner Bros., Max Originals, DC Universe, Turner Library, Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes, Adult Swim,” and other studios.
Access to “Max” is available to all past “HBO Max” subscribers. You might be able to view “Max” for free if you have HBO included with your current streaming service. Only the U.S. and its territories can access “Max.”
One can use the “B/R Sports” Add-On, for a short period, on “Max” to watch live matches and games from the NHL, NBA, NCAA March Madness, MLB, and U.S. Soccer.
Max subscriptions can be obtained via the following channels: “max.com”, “Max app”, “internet, mobile and TV providers” found at “max.com/provider”, and additional streaming service providers.
Discovery+
The streaming service that offers the best real-life enjoyment from your top TV personalities and brands (Food Network, HGTV, TLC, Animal Planet, ID, Discovery Channel), together with unique original content, is “discovery+.” The exclusive streaming access to the largest selection of award-winning natural history series from the BBC, which includes “Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Frozen Planet,” is only available on discovery+.
The majority of linked/smart devices, such as Amazon streaming devices, Apple gadgets and TVs, Google Android devices and TVs, “Microsoft Xbox One and Series S/X devices,” the Roku platform, Samsung smart TVs, VIZIO smart TVs, LG smart TVs, and more, are compatible with “discovery+ app.” The users of smartphones, tablets, and desktop may access discovery+ by visiting “discoveryplus.com” in browser.
A cable TV subscription is not needed to use discovery+, in contrast to the “GO apps.”
In the US and Canada, the “MotorTrend+” subscription service ended on March 28, 2024. With a discovery+ subscription, you may access the “MotorTrend+” video material.
Paramount+
With more features and content than “CBS All Access,” Paramount+ is a streaming service that debuted on March 4, 2024 and replaced CBS All Access. Paramount+ will show all of your “CBS All Access” content, including your beloved “hit shows, original series, live TV, and classics.”
Further, “Paramount+” subscribers receive access to hundreds of films from Paramount Pictures’ illustrious vaults. ViacomCBS brands including “BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Smithsonian Channel” will be available on “Paramount+,” along with thousands of extra episodes from exclusive new original programs.
As of 4/30/24, the “SHOWTIME app” streaming service is no longer available. All you have to do is subscribe via “paramountplus.com” or the “Paramount+ app,” then choose the “Paramount+ with SHOWTIME” plan to continue streaming.
Benefits of Walmart+ include “Paramount+.”
“Mobile devices, set-top boxes, smart TVs, streaming players,” and gaming consoles are all compatible with Paramount+. On compatible PC and Mac systems, you can stream “Paramount+” by using a compatible web browser.
Apple TV+
Every month, new releases of Apple TV+‘s exclusive Apple Original “series and films,” which showcase some of the best talent in the sector, are released. An Apple streaming service is called “Apple TV+.”
Browse through all of the Apple TV+ stuff that is accessible by using the “Apple TV app” or “tv.apple.com”. Your Apple devices already have the “Apple TV app” loaded.
Watch Apple Original TV series and films on your compatible devices by subscribing to “Apple TV+.” Through the “Apple TV app,” Apple TV+ may be accessed on Smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, Apple TV, gaming consoles, and cable/satellite receivers. You can enjoy on various devices with just one subscription (min three simultaneous streaming).
The playback controls allow you to do a number of things while watching, such as “pause, skip, enable subtitles,” and more.
In addition, purchase or rent “films and television series,” then view on any device that is compatible.
