Movie -
Man gets the power to heal instantly and to withstand any “poison or damage” when he is subjected to an alien gas.
The movie follows cab driver “Jeffrey Wilder” (Scott Bakula), a widower, and his son “Eric” (Joey Cramer), as they are thrust unintentionally into an incredible journey. Jeffrey witnessed a NASA truck crash carrying a space canister, while he was on his way with her son Eric after an “American football” match. Jeffrey scrambles into the overturned truck to save the “driver and canister” from fire. The fire had resulted from crash of truck. In an effort to save “the driver and the canister”, Jeffrey has swallowed some of the gas leaking from the canister. Eric who was standing outside had also swallowed some gas. And soon Jeffrey sent him far.
But as the rescue operation is coming to an end, the truck erupts violently, and Jeffrey is taken to the hospital with 90% of his body burned in the “second and third” degrees. As the doctors prepare to begin treating Jeffrey, Jeffrey’s badly burned body “miraculously” heals itself before their eyes, and he regains consciousness and passes out to home.
On a different day, Jeffrey is taken aback when his enigmatic skill comes into play during an “attempted armed robbery by robber” at a nearby convenience store. The terrified robber shoots him fatally, but as before, a “fatal bullet wound” also heals within a few seconds. Then it is revealed that while rescuing the NASA truck, Jeffrey accidentally exposed to a sample of mystery “alien gas” that leaked from the shattered canister, which is what gave him his new “power”.
Then, with a top-secret mission to stop the “cunning and reclusive wealthy” Oliver Holbrook (John Anderson), the U.S. Government contacts Jeffrey. A power-hungry maniac who hijacks a military train – to steal a “prototype laser pistol” and “mini atomic generator” being carried by the train. Threatening Earth with the ultimate catastrophe—a “nuclear meltdown”—he hopes to compel the world to submit. Government officials called Jeffrey the “indestructible man”.
Jeffrey gets ready for the secret mission and when he goes to meet Eric before going on the mission, he finds out that Eric also has “the same power as he” (but he asks Eric to keep it a secret). Along with government official “Karen McCorder” (Ellen Bry), Jeffrey is sent into mission. When Jeffrey was on the mission against Oliver Holbrook, the report of his “body tissue” also came which showed that if Jeffrey is kept in the dark for a long time, he can die, his “tissues” do not regenerate in the dark. Jeffrey’s son Eric also hides on the plane and reaches Oliver Holbrook’s hideout with him.
“Jeffrey and Karen” got captured by Oliver Holbrook’s force, after they reached his hideout. “Jeffrey and Karen” prove to Oliver Holbrook that they came to have his back. And then Oliver Holbrook includes both of them into his team. Leaving “Jeffrey and Karen” in the guest room, Oliver sets out to demolish the bridge in San Francisco.
Oliver’s plan was to destroy the bridge in San Francisco with a “mini atomic generator”. Meanwhile, “Jeffrey and Karen” try to escape Oliver’s castle and have an encounter with Oliver’s staff. Eric helps “Jeffrey and Karen” to escape from the encounter safely and the trio later pursue Oliver in a helicopter.
The trio encounter Oliver on the way and their helicopter gets damaged by Oliver’s attack. Then Jeffrey runs through the shortcut and catches the Oliver’s movement because due to his “indestructible” power he does not get tired no matter how much he runs. Jeffrey takes over the “generator” truck and drives off, knocking Oliver’s car over. Harry Murphy (John Bloom) helps Jeffrey in the last moments with his jeep. “Generator” truck means to the vehicle which contains the “mini atomic generator”.
In the end Jeffrey crashes the “generator” truck into a river and there is no explosion and all goes well.
Actual ‘NASA’ Incident -
On the morning of January 28, 1986, 73 seconds after launch, a booster engine malfunctioned, causing the “Space Shuttle Challenger” (STS-51L) to disintegrate and killing all seven crew members. The 25th mission of the “NASA Space Shuttle” program, as well as the last voyage of “Space Shuttle Challenger”, was STS-51L.
The cause was severe cold in Florida prior to launch, which resulted an o-ring failure in the “right solid rocket booster”.
That’s all friends.
