US - Health

Nick Chubb (#24), the Cleveland Browns’ running back, suffered a significant ‘knee’ injury during the second quarter of the ‘Week 2 game’ of the ‘2023 NFL season’ against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The injury affected the “anterior cruciate ligament” (ACL) and “medial collateral ligament” (MCL) in his left knee, the same knee he had injured during his ‘college career.’

MST

PCP

A PCP, sometimes known as a “primary care physician or primary care doctor,” is a medical professional who specializes in general medicine and treats “normal and non-urgent medical ailments.” They treat and counsel patients on a variety of health-related issues and most often “have long-term health-care connections with them.” They can collaborate with “specialists” to ensure the best treatment for patients.

MSA

One kind of “Medicare Advantage plan” (Part C) that is consumer-directed is the Medicare “Medical Savings Account” (MSA). Enrolling in one is voluntary. Medicare MSA plans can only be enrolled in if you live in an “area” where they are available. Medicare MSA plans give you important protection against excessive “medical expenses” and give you liberty over how much you spend on healthcare.

CAL

The “Compassionate Allowances” (CAL) program finds illnesses and other medical problems promptly i.e., here problems by definition means that qualify a person for disability benefits under Social Security. For those with the most severe disabilities, the CAL initiative helps individuals shorten the time it takes to determine their disability.

MSP

The “Medicare Savings Programs” (MSP) are state-managed federally financed initiatives. These are initiatives designed to assist those with low “incomes and resources” in covering all or part of their Medicare premiums. Additionally, MSP may cover your Medicare “deductibles, coinsurance, and/or copayments” if you qualify.

MC

A federal health insurance scheme/program for those “65 years of age or older” is called Medicare (MC). Medicare (MC) may also be available to individuals “under 65” who have specific disabilities, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), permanent kidney failure, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease).
"Fall Precautions" refer to the methods and processes used to reduce the risk of falls-related incidents and harm, particularly in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. There exist established strategies for mitigating and averting falls, even for senior citizens. In order to encourage older persons to prevent falls in their homes, the “National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO)” works with local partners (such as emergency medical services).
