In honor of Hall of Fame coach “Vince Lombardi,” who led the Bay Packers to their first two Super Bowl victories, the “Vince Lombardi Trophy” is given to the winner of the Super Bowl every year.
When Earl “Curly” Lambeau’s Indian Packing Company decided to support a professional football club, the “Green Bay Packers” were born. Being the third-oldest club in the “NFL,” the team debuted in 1921. The first two Super Bowls, held in 1967 and 1968, were won by the Bays Packers.
The “Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings” are the three NFC North division opponents that the Bay Packers have a winning record over.
During the course of the last ten years (2013–22), the Bay Packers are “59-20-2 (.741) at home,” ranking third in the NFL and first in the NFC. The community’s continuous support has been key to the success of the “Bay Packers,” who are the only professional sports team owned and operated by their fans.
Since the “AFL-NFL” merger in 1970, the Bay Packers is the first club to have never lost a season-long game by more than seven points.
After winning more than 13 regular-season games in “three consecutive seasons,” Bay Packers became the first club in NFL history to do so. Packers (805) became the first team in the league’s history to achieve 800 wins (including playoffs) with a victory over Philadelphia in 2020.
In terms of average starting field position following kickoffs (26.7) in the 2022 season, the “Bay Packers” are third in the NFL.
After trailing through17-0 or worse in three quarters, “Bay Packers” emerged victorious, becoming just the third team in the last thirty years to do so.
In 2023, the Packers made NFL history when they scored a touchdown on “a kickoff return of more than 105 yards and an interception return of more than 75 yards” in a single game, according to the “Elias Sports Bureau.”
With the implementation of the new playoff structure by the NFL in 2020, in 2024 the Bay Packers became the first team ranked seventh to defeat a “seed” (ranked second).
At a shipyard in the New Orleans region, on “July, 2006,” the U.S. Navy named a 684-foot warship the “USS Green Bay.” This was the second Navy vessel to bear the name “Green Bay,” having previously been a small gunboat.
In addition to being the first coach in franchise history to get his team to the postseason in his debut season, “LaFleur” made history by becoming the first head coach in team history to lead his squad to a “division title” in his debut season.
“Ryan Longwell” broke the all-time record held by the great “Don Hutson” for the most career points (823), finishing his time in Bay Packers with “1,054 points” (one of the team’s most prized individual records).
According to 2023 media guide, with 91 touchdowns, “Jim Taylor” trails only Don Hutson’s club record of 105. Taylor amassed 8,207 yards in nine years with the “Bay Packers,” averaging 4.5 yards per carry on 1,811 rushes.
After sacks were added to the official stats in 1982, “Charles Woodson” became the fourth player in NFL history to score a minimum of “nine interceptions and two sacks” in a single season. Has the record for being the only player in NFL history to record a minimum of seven interceptions and two sacks in “back-to-back seasons.”
Placekicker with the Bay Packers from 1989 to 1996, “Chris Jacke” was elected into the “Packers Hall of Fame” in 2013 and finished fourth on the team’s all-time most career points (behind Don Hutson). The second-highest (kicking) career PAT percentage with at least 100 attempts belongs to “Chris Jacke (301/306)” in team history (just behind “Ryan Longwell”).
With four touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in a single game, “Aaron Rodgers” became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 400 yards.
“Aaron Jones” scored three touchdown passes in a single game, becoming the first Bay Packer running back to accomplish so since “Andy Uram” in 1942. By winning the MVP (Most Valuable Player) title three times in a row (1995–1997), “Brett Favre” made history as the first NFL player. The second-highest career passer rating in Bay Packers history, achieved by “Brett Favre” (16 seasons), is 85.8. Further, he has attempted the most career passes (8,754) in franchise history.

“Randall Cobb” made NFL history in 2012 when he recorded “964 kickoff return yards and 954 receiving yards” in one season. He was the first player to ever record 900+ yards in both categories. The only player on the squad with most career fair catches than “Randall Cobb” (68), is “Willie Wood” (102) and he is leading.
With 3 punt return touchdowns, “Micah Hyde” had matched the Bay Packers career record held by wide receiver “Desmond Howard” and cornerback “Will Blackmon.” Out of all the players with 14 or more punt returns in a single season, Hyde had the highest average (15.8 yards) in NFL, and third only to “Billy Grimes” (19.1) and “Willie Wood” (16.1) in team.
With an average of 28.83 yards per kickoff return, “Keisean Nixon” tied for second place in the NFL — the best single-season figure in Bay Packers history among players with thirty or more kickoff returns.
In his first five professional starts, “Jordan Love” became the first quarterback in franchise history (since 1950) to throw at least one touchdown pass. He was chosen by the Bay Packers in the first round, making him the ninth quarterback in club history and the fifth in the “Common Draft Era” (since 1967).
In his first five years in the NFL, “Jaire Alexander” became the sixth defensive back from the Bay Packers to be selected to multiple “Pro Bowls,” according to Stathead.com. Since Gregg in 1967, “David Bakhtiari” is the only offensive tackle from the Packers to be selected to the first team of the AP All-Pro squad in 2018. Is one of only two offensive tackles in Bay Packers’ history (Forrest Gregg, 1962–67) to be selected to the “AP All-Pro” team for more than five seasons in a row.
In 2021, “AJ Dillon” finished third on the squad with a career-high 1,116 yards from scrimmage. He teamed up with running back “Aaron Jones” (1,190 yards) to become just the second running back duo in Packers history to surpass 1,100 yards in a single season (John Brockington/MacArthur Lane in 1972).
